C-68 Isn't On

The Libertarian Party of British Columbia position on Bill C-68 and any other gun control measure is essentially this:

It isn't on. Period. Full stop.

We will not enforce C-68, nor will we enforce or enact any replacement "compromise" legislation which infringes the right of any individual to own a firearm, save those individuals in lawful confinement. Where the federal government attempts to enforce C-68 or any other rights-infringing legislation in British Columbia, a BC Libertarian government will defend the rights of BC citizens from this Liberal Party tyranny, using whatever methods are available... and several methods are available.

All friends of Liberty should stand together in opposition to the Liberal Party infringement of our fundamental individual rights by voting for a Libertarian candidate. That will send the Liberals a strong, consistent, unambiguous message that BC citizens are prepared to defend the rights that our fathers and grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought and died for.

Those who compromise Liberty for a little illusory comfort, deserve (and will have) neither liberty nor comfort in the long run.

The BC Libertarian Party is running over 20 candidates in British Columbia's 75 Electorial districts. Vancouver Island has five declared candidates running under the Libertarian banner, including party leader Ken Wiebe in Saanich South.
